Teh action starts after the death of Mother Boadicea, the late, larger than life, mother superior of the order. The nuns have discovered that M. Boadicea burned through the endowment and that the order has been bleeding red ink for decades.

Other nun names: Sr Mao, Sr. Che and Sr. Dylan. Also Sr. Margaret Sanger (she campaigns for abortions and the death penalty).

Instead of Dahlonega (gold mines) why not Helen? They have that synthetic concrete and cement German village and Oktoberfest.

Lots of comic gold in contrasting slots and oompah music. Also phoniness vs phoniness vs reality.

It would fit the theme of actual versus artificial reality and belief.

Need to be wary of using nuns and slots in the same sentence. Dragons lie down that path.

Actual order name is St Catherine of Alexandria

Premise is that the Holy Order of St Catherine of Alexandria is facing a fiscal crisis. Rather than close down, they sell their possessions and head to Dahlonega, GA, where they open up a convent casino.

Conflict will be the church-state struggle and the internal struggle within the Episcopal Church. The Christians in Atlanta are appalled, the bishop wants a cut and the 815 crowd are conflicted. Meanwhile the Cherokees in Cherokee, NC are trying to figure out how to shut the competition down. The Georgia politicians aren't agianst it per se, but they want a piece of the action.

Need to get good Nun names.

Matthew is the obvious choice. St Margaret of Clitherow is another. St Bernadine of Siena has the needed irony (PR and gambling!). I like St Rita of Cascia, St Jude and St Anthony of Padua as well. St Anthony Claret is a good 'un. As is St Barbara.
